The Mighty 30

A Veteran's Ministry

I am Fredric “Rick” Boyle, founder of The Mighty 30. I am a veteran of the U.S. Army with ten years of Active Duty and 14 years in the Reserve. I retired in 2007 as a Sergeant First Class.

In 2009, I became a chaplain candidate with the Maryland Defense Force (MDDF) and currently serve as MDDF Command Chaplain. The Lord called me to chaplaincy, and I attended Liberty University and obtained a Master of Divinity. I also completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and became a board-certified chaplain with The College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy (CPSP). I completed my Doctorate of Ministry in Chaplaincy at Liberty University in May 2023. I am also a Supervisor-in-training with CPSP.

The Mighty 30 is based out of the Platoon Veteran Services Center (VSC) and provides chaplain support, counseling, and the spiritual needs of the veterans. The Mighty 30 works in partnership with the Catoctin Mountain Chapter, a CPSP chapter that helps provide additional CPE-trained chaplains for the VSC.
